Does LineSight integrate with my ERP?

Yes. LineSight pulls orders and inventory from your ERP in real time, and finished plans go back the other way. You can send work orders, download PDF plans, and update your ERP in one click.

How the integration works

LineSight reads two things from your system: open orders and coil inventory. That is the input the optimizer needs.

Once a plan is generated and approved, LineSight writes back. Work orders go to your system, inventory gets updated, and the record stays in your ERP where your team already looks for it.

The connection is live, not a batch export. When inventory changes or an order comes in, LineSight sees it. That matters because a plan built on yesterday's data is a plan that has to be rebuilt.

"Our ERP is custom. Is that a problem?"

No, and this is the most common version of this question we get.

Every LineSight integration is built during implementation for that customer's specific system. We are not shipping a fixed connector that only works with a short list of vendors and hoping yours is on it. The integration work is part of onboarding regardless of what you run.

That covers metals-specific ERPs, general manufacturing systems, homegrown builds, and the fairly common case of an older system that somebody has customized heavily over fifteen years.

What we need is a way to read orders and inventory and a way to write back. If your system has an API, we use it. If it does not, there are other paths, including direct database reads and file-based exchange. We have not yet hit a system we could not work with.

"What if we are mid-migration?"

Reasonably common in this industry, and workable. We have connected to a system a customer was actively planning to replace. The integration gets rebuilt against the new system when it goes live, and the disruption is on our side rather than yours.

What we need from your team

Less than you would expect. Usually:

• A technical contact who knows the system, available for a few conversations
• Read access to orders and inventory
• Write access for work orders and inventory updates
• A sample of real data so we can map fields correctly

Most of the integration work is ours. Your IT involvement is typically a handful of hours across the implementation, not a project.

Beyond the ERP

LineSight also connects to the other tools your team already uses. Group chats, spreadsheets, and the informal systems that exist alongside the official one in every real operation. The goal is that your operators do not change how they work.

Security

Your data stays yours. Integrations use your existing access controls, and we scope permissions to what the optimizer actually needs rather than requesting blanket access.
