What is LineSight?

LineSight is AI production planning software built specifically for metal service centers. It connects to your ERP, reads your open orders and coil inventory in real time, and generates the slitting plan that puts the most material on trucks instead of in the scrap bin.

At most service centers, planning starts the same way every morning. A planner opens the order book, cross-references it against coil inventory, checks what is already running, walks the floor to confirm what the system says is actually true, and then works around whatever constraints are live that day. A line is down. A customer moved a date. Freight is tight on Thursday.

Then they build the plan by hand. Usually in a spreadsheet, sometimes on paper.

That takes hours. And here is the part nobody talks about: even when it is done well, it is not done optimally. A single coil can be cut dozens of different ways against an open order book.
