1. Introduction
LineSight (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides a steel coil slitting optimization platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to use of linesight-ai.com and the LineSight application.
2. Information we collect
Account information — name and email address you provide, or that your Google or Microsoft account shares with us when you sign in via OAuth.
Operational data you upload — orders, coil inventory, slitter configuration, and schedules. This is your business data; you control what you upload.
Connection details for ERP integrations — server addresses and credentials you provide so we can sync orders and inventory on your behalf.
Product usage — pages visited, features used, errors encountered, and session interactions, captured via our analytics provider.
Communications — the contents of messages you send to support.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to provide and improve the LineSight service, run the optimization features, support and communicate with you, secure the platform, and meet legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the sub-processors listed below, with your direction (for example, ERP syncs you configure), or where required by law.
5. Sub-processors
We rely on the following providers to operate the service:
Supabase — authentication and primary application database.
Render — backend application hosting.
Vercel — frontend application hosting.
PostHog — product analytics and session replay.
Anthropic — the AI assistant features within the product.
6. Data retention
Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to 30 days after deletion to allow recovery from backups. Operational data follows your tenant's retention configuration. Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months by default.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at the email below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
8. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for authentication and session management, plus analytics cookies to understand how the product is used. We do not use cookies for advertising.
9. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control, and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure; report any security concerns to the email below.
10. International transfers
LineSight is operated from the United States. If you are outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US. Where required by law, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
11. Children's privacy
LineSight is a business product not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the application or by email. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the latest version.
